Our Mission

More Than Tennis

We started ACES because we believe tennis is better when you have people to share it with. We're a nonprofit community where players of all ages and abilities come together to compete, connect, and grow. And because community doesn't stop at the court, we extend that same spirit to African communities through clean water, food, and youth sports programs.

We're building something that lasts — a tennis community where anyone can walk onto a court and feel at home, regardless of background or skill. Locally, we want ACES to be the place people think of when they think of tennis in Maryland. Globally, we want to bring the same sense of belonging and opportunity to young people who deserve a fair shot.

Our Story

How It Started

In 2023, Femi started inviting friends to hit on the courts in Laurel. No agenda — just tennis and good company. Those casual sessions turned into something bigger: a real community. People kept showing up, bringing friends, getting competitive, getting better. Today, ACES is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with over 140 members, regular tournaments, a live leaderboard, and an outreach program reaching communities in Howard County, Prince George's County, and across Africa.

Founded ACES Club and leads the organization's overall direction, operations, and financial stewardship. Responsible for setting the club's strategic vision, building partnerships, and ensuring alignment across all programs — from league play and coaching to global outreach. Represents the club at official events, manages relationships with facilities and sponsors, and drives the nonprofit's mission of empowering communities through tennis.

Provide strategic leadership by supporting the President and helping guide the club's vision and operations. Oversee tournaments, events, partnerships, and member engagement to ensure a thriving tennis community. Also drive the club's growth through sponsorships, community outreach, and initiatives that enhance the overall member experience.
